Book Week Competition: Win tickets to Runt!

Looking for Book Week inspiration? Enter our Runt Book Week competition to win tickets for you and your family to see Runt in cinemas.

In celebration of Craig Silvey’s beloved Runt coming to the big screen in September, we’re inviting parents and kids to get inspired and create an amazing costume based on the characters from this heartwarming Australian classic. Whether your child wants to dress up as the resourceful Annie, daredevil Max or the lovable Runt himself, we want to see your creativity shine for the chance for the whole family to see Runt on the big screen.

Runt is in cinemas 19 September.


How to Enter:

  1. Get Inspired: Use our easy Runt Book Week costume guides below for Runt to craft a fantastic outfit. Or let your imagination run wild!

  2. Snap a Photo: Once your costume is ready, take a photo of your child in their Book Week attire.

  3. Submit Your Entry: Share the photo with us through this form. Be sure to include your name and contact details. If you're on social media be sure to share with us @allenandunwin and @craigsilveyauthor

  4. Why Enter? Not only will you be showcasing your child’s love for reading and creativity, but you’ll also be in the running to win of 5 family passes to the feelgood Australian movie of the year!

Deadline: Make sure to submit your entry by 28 August. Winners will be announced here 30 August, so stay tuned!

This is so great of you to share before bookweek. Thank you! FYI is there a typo on the Mush can label? It says "Is your dog a rut?" Is that supposed to be "Is your dog a runt*?" ;-)
